Short answer

Each tool page includes its own how-to, and the guides go deeper. This page collects four short walkthroughs that combine the tools for common jobs: preparing for a launch, running an event wall, cleaning up a blog's embeds and triaging a spam wave.

How do I prepare my replies for a product launch?

Build a short mute list and a hold list in advance, test them on replies to your last launch, and decide who handles reports.

  1. Copy 50 to 100 replies from your last big announcement.
  2. Paste them into the spam scorer and note which phrases keep appearing in the high scores.
  3. Add those phrases to the filter tester, switch on all the "catch tricks" options, and check the allow list for false positives.
  4. Move the finished words into X's muted words (see our muted words guide) and set reply controls on the launch post if you expect a pile-on.

How do I set up rules for an event wall?

Allow-list your organizers and speakers, approve your official hashtag, hold links, reject spam phrases, and hold everything else by default.

Open the rule builder, click Load example and change the hashtag and account names to yours. Set "When no rule matches" to Hold for review. Paste posts from a similar event as samples and adjust until the result list looks right. Export the CSV for your wall tool.

How do I clean up embeds on an old blog?

Find posts with embedded X code, run each block through the embed cleaner, and load widgets.js once in your theme.

Search your posts for twitter-tweet. For each one, paste the code into the embed cleaner with "Remove widgets.js" checked, replace the old code, and add the single loader to your theme's footer. Old embeds of deleted posts will show only their fallback text; consider replacing those with a plain quote or removing them.

How do I triage a spam wave in my mentions?

Score the batch, act on the highest scores first, and turn repeated phrases into mute and block rules.

Paste the flood into the spam scorer. Exact and near duplicates rise to the top, which shows you the campaign. Block or report those accounts on X, add the repeated phrase to your muted words, and check any links with the link inspector before warning your followers about them.
