Short answer
To show X posts on a website you either paste X's embed code (a blockquote plus the widgets.js script), use oEmbed so your CMS fetches that code for you, or show posts as plain quotes with a link. TidyTweet has no API of its own; its embed cleaner tidies whichever code you end up with.
What are the ways to embed a post?
There are three: X's embed code, oEmbed through your CMS, or a plain quote with a link.

How do I keep embeds private and tidy?
Turn on do-not-track, strip the tracking parameters from links, and load the script once per page.
Paste your embed code into the embed cleaner. It adds data-dnt="true", removes ref_src and other tracking parameters, deletes any stray scripts and leaves a single loader. If you'd rather not load anything from X at all, the plain quote method with a link back is the cleanest option.
How does this connect to moderation?
You moderate before you embed: only posts you've chosen go on your page, so the embed itself never needs filtering.

Common questions
Does TidyTweet have an API or an oEmbed endpoint?
No. Old links to a TidyTweet oEmbed address now point here. X runs its own oEmbed endpoint at publish.twitter.com/oembed, which is what most CMSs use behind the scenes.
Is there a WordPress plugin?
There isn't a TidyTweet plugin. WordPress can embed X posts from a pasted link, and its built-in discussion settings handle keyword moderation for comments. The rule builder exports lists in the format those settings expect.
